Mr. Gokongwei: Today we mark another milestone in the short and colourful history of Cebu Pacific. Today we celebrate the introduction of the Airbus A330-300 into Cebu Pacific’s growing fleet. This new aircraft marks the introduction of long-haul services for Cebu Pacific. We will now be able to fly to destinations that we could not reach with our narrow-body A320 aircraft.
Mr. Gokongwei: Cebu Pacific has always been about bridging distances. In the first few years of our operations, we have successfully changed travel patterns within the Philippines. With our trademark Piso Fares, people who could not afford to travel by air, now routinely take to the skies. Years later, more Juans are able to routinely take their families on vacations around the Philippines and Asia, via Cebu Pacific.
With our brand-new Airbus A330 aircraft, we look forward to offering more Juans the same low fares to even more distant destinations.
What does this mean for every Juan? Hardworking OFWs, the backbone of our economy, the new heroes of our time, will get to come home more often.
Mr. Gokongwei: While OFWs and their families can’t be together every day, Cebu Pacific provides them the next best thing ---- travel options that empower them to make the most of every second with their loved ones. Lower fares, same day connections to their hometown in the Philippines --- we are paving the way home for our heroes.
Low fares open more opportunities for every Juan. For many years, it has been expensive to travel overseas. For many years, it has been expensive for Filipinos to get to their places of work overseas. For many years, it has been expensive for their families to come visit them.
With Cebu Pacific’s brand-new A330 aircraft, we get to change all that. And the change happens next month, when we begin our first long-haul flights Dubai.
